Repeat Prescriptions

Prescription slips are issued to all patients on regular medicine.

Please give a minimum of 2 working days’ notice for any prescription request.

Requests cannot be taken over the telephone for safety reasons.

You may post your request to us with an SAE but postal and chemist collect/deliver prescriptions require one week’s notice.

Repeat prescriptions are not issued for contraceptive pills which require a nurse’s appointment.

A doctor’s appointment is required to obtain further supplies of hormone replacement therapy.

We will aim to get your prescription in line so that you can request all your medications at the same time. Please let us know if you are having to re-order at different times and we will try to adjust this. Sometimes a blood test form will be given to you with a repeat prescription, which means you should book an appointment to have a blood sample taken.
